Evan Ting-Kwok Leung is a ceramic sculptor who was born in Hong Kong in 1977 and moved to British Columbia, Canada with his parents since 1994. Growing up with his painter father, Evan has been exposed to the arts for as long as he can remember. After his passion and interest, he went to Kwantlen University College and Emily Carr institute to study visual arts. Since 1998, he has been participating in certain solo and group exhibitions in Canada and other countries.
Recent years, Evan’s ceramic installation which has multiple slip-casted porcelain IV Bags, human body form and plastic tubing that led him into a couple biennale, and was selected for 2020, 2016 and 2012 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale (recommendation prize, 2016), Latvia international ceramics biennale 2018, 11th International Ceramics Competition Mino, Japan (honorable mentions, 2017) and 1st Cluj International Ceramics Biennale, Romania (highest recognition, 2013).
